THE ROTTEN MANGO PODCAST
As a writer and researcher for the Rotten Mango podcast, I played a large role in crafting compelling narratives that explore true crime stories with the depth and sensitivity it requires. My responsibilities included conducting thorough research to uncover lesser-known details, ensuring each episode was both informative and engaging.
I developed both episode outlines (write-ups) and scripts, focusing on maintaining a balance between storytelling and factual accuracy. Additionally, I engaged with the audience through social media, fostering a community around our shared interest in human behavior and shedding light on lesser known cases. This role honed my skills in storytelling, research methodologies, making small changes for audience engagement, and helping the families of victims.
Courtney Clenney (The OnlyFans Killer)
The OnlyFans Killer case is an example of my write-ups. I would spend a lot of time researching and compounding as much information as possible before starting my writing process. Write-ups are informationally dense but incredibly important. I would spend a lot of time finding high-quality images to include, as well as highlighting important information.
*Note: Iām not allowed to share full write-ups or disclose too much information about the processes it entails, but these images in particular I have permission to share.
The Murder of Abby Choi
The Murder of Abby Choi is an example of my scriptwriting. This entails bringing the information from a write-up to life, ready to read. It was important that the scripts be easily readable and have a relaxed tone. The goal was to be informative while maintaining a friendly and engaging vibe. The colors and styles used made it easier to read quickly.
